Hello,
I Need to create a triger for a New PC on LAN not having kaseya installed is it possible.
Regards,
Praveen
We're looking to Migrate our SQL database and need to know if it's compatible with 2016.
I'm very new to Kaseya, so forgive my ignorance =]. I joined a company that has been using Kaseya for a while now, but most of the previous Kaseya admins we had on staff have either left or been reassigned elsewhere. So, now I'm getting to fill the role. Anyway, I'm interested in utilizing KNM. From what I've read so far, it appears that you need to discover a network with the monitor network option checked. My question is, previously we had done discovery through Domain Watch. That being said, I just want to make sure I do not mess anything up by running the LAN Watch as well when everything has already been discovered via Domain. If anyone has any information or insight, I'd greatly appreciate it! Also, just for FYI below is our VSA patch level and version.
Patch Level
9.3.0.24
System Version
9.3.0.4
Guys,
Afternoon.. I am trying setup a software profile that has a group of software assigned to it.
Once the agent checks in the very first time, the get the software profile, installs the software and that's it. one time install ran only at the first checkin.
is that possible and if so, what is the best way to do it.
We're seeing a problem where one of our clients agents are no longer registering reboots. All six servers are scripted reboot each week on Wednesday at 7pm. We've set the agent status alert set to 1 minute and all of our servers check in every 30 seconds.
When I check the "Last Reboot Time" column on the agent page, Kaseya generally reports a week or two prior. I confirm reboots are working by logging into the servers and running "net stats srv".
These servers are virtual and relatively fast, but they certainly take over one minute to reboot. Anyone experience this and know of a solution?
Hello,
I have been using kaseya for about 2 years now and I have had this ongoing problem that drives me crazy. I have contacted kaseya support at least 3 different times and they are not helpful. These are the symptoms I notice.
The agent icon is green even though the user is logged in.
Audit's will be scheduled and never run.
Patch scanning will be scheduled and never run.
Patches won't work.
Agent procedures won't work.
Agent logs will show things like agent offline - cannot establish connection with the kserver.
KaseyaD.ini has been overwritten with master copy on kaseya server.
ERROR: The doDeleteFile() task could not delete the file C:\Kaseya_Temp\msores2010-kb2597087-fullfile-x86-glb.exe because it is read-only
ERROR: execFile() timed out waiting for C:\Kaseya_Temp\msores2010-kb2597087-fullfile-x86-glb.exe to complete
ERROR: keep-alive in doClientTasks() call to kascSend failed with error -12
Pretty much nothing will work yet I can still remote to the endpoint no problem.
I can remote to these machines and ping the kaseya server.
I can telnet to the server with port 5721.
When this happens I can usually remote to the machine, restart the kaseya services and then the icon will show they are logged in but still nothing will work.
Reboot, and the icon is back to being green and not logged in.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and sometimes this fixes it but will usually break again.
This problem simply occurs so frequently I question why bother even using kaseya at times.
Is there anyone out there that can provide me a solution or things I can try to fix this?
I have googled and tried everything I can find on the web.
Thanks!
Looking at some old forum posts for issues and noticed that a number of the old KB Links are now re-directing to Mitchell and Butlers website to locate the nearest pub.
While I do appreciate the sentiment the landlord was unable to assist with my Acronis Issue.
Example Links: http://kb.kaseya.com/article.asp?article=281149&p=11855

And kb.kaseya.com on it's own.
DNS record leads to: 83.138.170.93
It looks pretty good, especially with that anti-ransomware piece.
Hi
I seem to have an issue when i modify "Evenet log settings" in a Policy
when I add that I want logs om "Information" from the Security evetlog so I can create alerts from some account managment this does not apply.
However if I Add information under Agent/Evetlog settings ( and reboot) the test server i can get the alerts to kickoff
So i know that my evetlog monitor is ok
Anyone else have issues with this and how would I attack this issue to solve it.
On the latest patch and recentlt ran reaply schema

My main goal is just to get a mail when somneone creates a user ( eventID 4720)
We are testing the effectiveness and ease of utilizing KSDU. We have created a profile with 5 apps (Chrome, JAVA 8, Shockwave, Reader DC, and Silverlight. We put it into place last week with the profile set to scan/deploy/update every day at 1-2AM. After a whole week and out of 36 machines, only 1 has had every software package install properly. It appears that we're receiving the same 2 errors for pretty much every machine/app. They are below. Does anyone have any suggestions/insight?
ERROR: execFileAsUser() failed with error -13 while spawning c:\kworking\KSDU\KSAASC12549911922485\Ninite Shockwave Installer 12.2.5.195[16155].exe
runProcessAsUserThread("c:\kworking\KSDU\KSAASC12549911922485\Ninite Reader DC Installer 15.20.20042;15.6.30244(en-US)[16253].exe" /locale en-US /silent "c:\kworking\KSDU\KSAASC12549911922485\Install_822462514472408.log" /allusers) failed with error 2
FYI we're using VSA 9.3.
Hello,
would anyone know if you can activate ESET end point security (6.4) via agent procedure?
thanks heaps!
Hey there,
I Have looked in the Virtual System Administration booklet but could not find a lot on this subject, is there a procedure that if an agent switches from checking in the primary K server to the secondary K server as a fail over protocol it will send an alert or email to a specific email address?
It would be helpful in DNS issues so we can distinguish if one does have an issue.
A procedure or even a setting or something if someone has come across or stashed somewhere in their procedure banks that would be awesome thank you!
Two part question.
1) For some reason I cannot use the Shift key when entering passwords while trying to log into Windows through the Kaseya Remote Control application (Console Session.exe). I can use shift everywhere else in the session except Windows login. Reboot to login, locked computer login, etc.) I end up having to use the On Screen Keyboard to log in successfully.
2) Since I did not have this issue when I used to connect using the Browser-based remote control app, how do I disable the Remote control.exe application from running when I click on the connect button in the Kaseya Manage Agents window?
One of the queries we frequently get within Kaseya professional services is how to do bulk analysis of incoming alarms to cut down on the perceived 'noise' being generated by alerting.
The root cause of this noise is almost always due to a combination of a) poor choices for alert or monitor set thresholds and b) not responding to genuine alarms resulting in repeated alarms.
One quick way of identifying overall trends is to use the Info centre reporting functions to find top alarm producers. You can use the Import/Export function within the Kaseya System tab to import the following report to provide this trend analysis:
(Please visit the site to view this file)
To import the .XML file, navigate to System > Server management > Import Center, click New Import and choose the location you downloaded the above XML file.
Then navigate to Info Centre > Reporting > Reports and choose the Alarm Source Summary report.
Then run the report.
The following example from a customer with around 460 agents we recently checked highlights an issue with attempting to run the Symantec Backup Exec module on version 7.0 resulting in script failures, and poor choices for exchange server and workstation disk I/O thresholds.
Anyone working with Microsoft powerBi to create reports and modern dashborads with kaseya?
I'm posting this to the General forum since there is no button to create a post in the feature request forum. Please move this if it helps.
The last couple updates have changed the Machine Group and View drop-downs. While it's nice to see these moving in the direction of looking the same on all screens, I cannot stand the multi-page drop-downs. Nothing is more frustrating that scrolling to the bottom, realizing it's on the next page, then have to sit and wait for that to load. So, I've resorted to searching.
Searching needs a little help. If I click in the field and start typing, it adds what I'm typing to what is currently there. If I hit the X to remove what is there and start typing, then I end up with < All Groups > plus what I'm typing. If I click in that field and hit shift-home, delete, it doesn't work because home and end don't do anything.
The only way I can type a search in there is to click in the field and use the backspace button to clear it out, or to highlight it with the mouse and delete it.
I know this seems like a small thing, but when you do it 100 times a day the small things become frustrating. Please improve this.
Thanks,
- Marc
Almost every single one of my installed agents for KAV shows a license error! Anyone else seeing this? What can I do to fix it?
http://screencast.com/t/lKNymCs7
We were asked by our account rep to run a get-check on our vsa so our licenses will update to display new kam licenses. I asked our account rep how to run a get-check and they responded they are unsure...
Can someone explain what this is and how to do it?
Under v9.3 there is no longer access to the "hidden proxy configuration link within the VSA"
So how do we setup proxies?
